Unique custom-made whitening trays allow you to enhance your teeth’ colour, in the comfort of your own home using Zoom gel. At-home teeth whitening results are effective.
The treatment period usually lasts four to six weeks. It is recommended to do touch up treatments approximately 1 day per month to maintain the whiteness.
The Zoom Gel is placed on the teeth using custom trays. Two main materials used in the process are:
Hydrogen peroxide gel
Penetrating the tooth enamel and breaking up stains wedged in your teeth – this mild, oxygenating agent carries away the debris.
Carbamide peroxide gel
Operating the same way as hydrogen peroxide, this agent is just milder.

To help maintain the whitening effects of your treatment, we may advise you to avoid certain foods and beverages or consume them in moderation to avoid staining your teeth. This includes tea, coffee, red wine, cola, etc.
Additionally, tobacco products will stain teeth, even after whitening treatments. Maintain an appropriate oral hygiene (brushing and flossing) regimen to prevent stains from reforming, and see your dentist and hygienist regularly for scheduled teeth cleanings.
Toothpaste containing whitening agents also may be suggested by your dentist to maintain the results of the procedure.
Another option for whitening is actually a “side effect” of our Perio Protect system, which is designed primarily to treat periodontal gum disease.
